As the Central Plant Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and running the central plant, which includes chillers, air handlers, and boilers. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the equipment to provide a comfortable and controlled environment for our facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the central plant, including chillers, air handlers, and boilers.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on the central plant systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues and implement appropriate solutions in a timely manner.
• Monitor and adjust equipment settings to optimize energy efficiency and minimize operational costs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repairs.
• Collaborate with other teams and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks.
• Comply with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to central plant operations.

Requirements:

• Possession of a Black Seal (Boiler Operator License) for NJ is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of central plant systems, their components, and their maintenance requirements.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and Management
• Proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance issues.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Flexibility to work outside regular business hours and respond to emergency situations as needed.
